I'm leaving this message in memory of my great great uncle Albert Arnaud Randall who died at the battle of Jutland and is commemorated on the Waterford war memorial. Gone but not forgotten xxx
in relation to my great uncle Private Patrick Brown 11232 6th battalion royal irish regiment, dud corner cemetery. I contacted a historian alan grieveson, who read the battalion diaries of the royal irish regiment for the day of 1st may 1916, and they state while carrying our day to day duties 1 officer and 7 men were wounded and 1 man was killed. this was Patrick brown. he was from couse Waterford and was my grandmothers brother. son of Patrick and Catherine brown and brother to ellen and bridget brown.he is buried in I j 19 dud corner cemetery loos.

Have just come back from visiting my Grandads grave at Ranville War Cemetery. He is Nicholas McGuire (son of Nicholas and Mary McGuire). Took my mum with us. It was the 1st time she has seen her Fathers grave.

My great grandfather was born in waterford in 1893 and moved to north shields (year unknown) to work on the docks. He was on board the ss Jessie maersk when it was torpedoed on the 7th October 1942. His memorial is in london and he was married to Mary Joseph Walsh (was Cockburn)
Any help to find any more information would be greatly appreciated, my nana has just turned 77 and never knew her father, it would be nice to give her more information about him or the ship other than pictures.

My grandmothers brother Patrick Grant Costellos Lane died 15 Sept 1916 (address mistakenly given as Ballybricken on the BC website)only son of Patrick Grant and Kathleen O Sullivan, Costelloes Lane Waterford
I am doing research on my Great uncles that were lost in WW1, 4 Collins brothers didnt come home of the 6 that enlisted, one was reputed to be given a kings discharge after it was learned that thier mother Agnus Collins had lost suffered such a loss
